The Somali community in Lethbridge organized its inaugural cultural festival at the Multicultural Centre. The free event featured traditional Somali music, dance, and cuisine, providing an opportunity for newcomers to reconnect with their heritage and for the broader community to experience Somali culture.
Organizers emphasized that the festival was designed to offer a cultural experience rather than serve as a fundraiser, aiming to ease the integration of Somali newcomers into Canadian society.
