The Government of Alberta officially declared June 25 to July 1 as Somali Heritage Week through Ministerial Order 2024-10. This initiative aims to celebrate and promote Somali culture and heritage within the province of Alberta.
Somali Immigrant Service Society of Alberta, Took part the organizing of the event.
Prominent politicians and Government officials were attended the event.
The declaration underscores the government’s commitment to recognizing the contributions of Somali immigrants and fostering cultural diversity.
